Project Overview: Award concept, design and project management

In its first two years the milestone Red Bull Aces contest — the first-ever wingsuit-cross competition, as well as the first to incorporate slalom-style gates in the sky — launched a spectacular new era in aerial sports. The innovative format sees wingsuit pilots racing head-to-head in four-person elimination heats.

A unique event in need of representative trophies. Layered clear and colored acrylic were used construct these awards and were complimented with gold, silver and bronze aluminum accents. Translucent blue acrylic was used as a backer, and had a subtle Arizona landscape printed on it from the venue. Lastly, printed acrylic logos and number plates were mounted to the front of the awards. The end result were trophies that truly embodied the essence of the event.
