 REV dealer summit

Client: KTM Group / KISKA

Role: Design Lead

Project Overview: Branding, logo development, event concept, design & planning, event collateral & assets, website design & development

The REV Dealer Summit was the first large business gathering for the KTM Group post-COVID pandemic in the motorsports capitol of Charlotte, North Carolina. It was also the first time that all brands that encompass the KTM Group (KTM, Husqvarna Motorcycles, GASGAS, FELT Bicycles and Husqvarna E-Bicycles) would be showcased together, while in the past the brands always had individual dealer shows. The main reason for this new strategy was to show the size and strength of the portfolio of brands for KTM Group and to encourage dealers to carry all of the brands.

 event concept & Branding

With the size and scope of this dealer trade show, the concept was to make this more than just a meeting, but instead of an event that would impact attendees and have meaningful takeaways and experiences. Having to incorporate all the brands of the KTM Group was also challenge as all the brands were to be presented as equals and not overshadow each other. The idea of giving the event it’s own name solved that problem and allowed the show to have it’s own identity and branding. The name “REV” is an action word associated with motorcycles and the “REV” of an engine due to the twist of the throttle. The REV logo also embodies the colors of the brands (orange for KTM, blue of Husqvarna, red of GASGAS) to tie back to the brands.

 charlotte convention center

The 3 day REV Dealer Summit took place in multiple venues in and around Charlotte, all of which were all modeled in 3D to allow for scaled concepting and visualization of the event. The Charlotte Convention Center was the main venue serving as the main spectacle as well as meal area for all the attendees. With the event hall being an empty concrete shell, we were able to transform the space into a REV-branded experience. The massive presentation stage and screens were used to give a larger than life visual experience. We contracted LEMG, a local full-service event production company, to help bring REV from concept to fruition. The result was an amazing transformation and experience for the KTM Group dealers.

 moto 40 mx park

In addition to learning about the new KTM Group motorcycles, dealers had the opportunity to actually demo and ride the products that were showcased on the first day of the event. Moto 40 MX Park, which is located about an hour from downtown Charlotte, is an amazing facility with multiple tracks and even an offroad enduro loop. The track was rented and taken over for the REV Dealer Summit to provide dealers with the opportunity to “throw a leg over a bike” and ride. Multiple race team factory riders like Cooper Webb and Justin Barcia were on-hand to interact with the dealers as well as ride some bikes. The tracks and weather were perfect, making a memorable experience for everyone.

 NASCAR hall of fame

The REV Dealer Summit concluded with closing ceremonies at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. A full buy-out of the venue allowed for attendees to have full access to the historic museum and provide a fitting race environment for KTM Group factory race team introductions and closing comments from the executive team.
